Baby sleep sounds that listen.
Shushy waits quietly by the crib. When your baby stirs, it fades in a gentle shush, white noise, rain or a lullaby, holds it until they settle, then lets the room go quiet again.
Not white noise all night.
Most sound apps play until morning. Shushy only plays when it's needed, and only as loud as it needs to be.
- ListeningSilent. Shushy learns the room's normal hum, like a fan, so it isn't fooled.
- A crySound starts soft and climbs over about 15 seconds, enough to cover the cry.
- SettlingIt holds, then eases back to a low, steady level.
- Quiet againAfter a calm stretch it fades out and goes back to listening.
It's built to ignore one-off noises like a dropped toy or a car horn, and to respond to crying.
Sounds made for small ears
A soft shush
The signature sound is a gentle, whispered shush with soft breaths. Layer it with white, pink or brown noise, rain, a fan, waves, wind, wind chimes, a womb sound or a heartbeat, each on its own dial.
Lullabies, and your own voice
Four original lullabies made for Shushy: Moonbox, Velvet Keys, Cradle Swing and Star Drift. Or record yourself singing and let it loop softly.
Sleep recipes
Start from a ready-made recipe like Womb Calm, then save your own mix for next time.
A timer that lets go
Choose when it ends, from 1 minute to 2 hours. The last seconds fade out instead of cutting off.
Your week at a glance
A sleep log of wakings and longest stretches, with a weekly card you can share with your partner.
Nothing leaves the phone.
Shushy works on your device and doesn't connect to the internet. No account, no ads, no audio uploads. The microphone is only used to notice a cry, and what it hears is not stored.
Read the privacy policyKeep it soft, keep it away
Place the phone at least 2 m (about 7 ft) from the crib, and keep the volume around the level of a gentle shower. Shushy is a comfort tool. It isn't a baby monitor or a medical device.

Questions parents ask
Does Shushy record my baby?
No. It listens live to notice a cry and then lets the audio go. Nothing is saved or uploaded. The only recordings are the ones you make yourself, like a lullaby, and they stay on your phone.
Will it keep working with the screen off?
Yes. While it's playing or listening, Shushy runs in the background with a small notification, so you can lock the phone and put it down. You can pause or stop listening right from the notification.
What if the fan or the street is noisy?
When listening starts, Shushy takes a few seconds to learn the room's normal sound and treats that as quiet. It reacts to sound that is cry-like and lasting, not to a single bang or beep.
Does it need the internet?
No. All the sounds are inside the app, so it works in airplane mode, on holiday, anywhere.
Which phones does it work on?
Shushy is coming to Android first. An iPhone version isn't available yet.
Is it a baby monitor?
No. Shushy helps settle a baby with sound. It doesn't watch over your baby or alert you, so keep using a monitor if you rely on one.
Which languages does the app speak?
The app is available in 22 languages and follows your phone's language. You can also pick one in the settings.
