Privacy policy
Shushy is a sleep-sound app for babies, made by Butones Entertainment. It is built to work entirely on your phone. This page explains what the app uses and what happens to it.
The short version
Shushy does not connect to the internet, has no accounts, and does not collect, upload or sell any personal data. Everything the app keeps stays on your device.
Microphone
When you turn on listening, Shushy uses the microphone to notice when your baby cries, so it can start the sound. The audio is analysed live on your phone and then discarded. It is never saved and never sent anywhere.
The microphone is also used when you choose to record your own sound, such as a lullaby. Those recordings are saved only on your phone, inside the app, and you can delete them at any time.
Sleep log
If the sleep log is on, Shushy saves the times your baby woke up during the night, for up to the last 30 nights. This stays on your phone. You can turn the log off or clear it in the app. The weekly report card is only shared when you tap share, and only to the app you choose.
Your baby's name
If you enter a name, it is stored on your phone and used only to personalise the app's text.
Notifications
Shushy shows a notification while it is playing or listening, and an optional weekly sleep report. These are created on your phone; no notification service or server is involved.
Children
Shushy is meant to be used by parents and caregivers, not by children. It does not collect information from anyone.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling Shushy removes everything the app stored, including recordings, the sleep log and settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
